West Bloomfield is a great community if you are looking for something family-oriented and a bit more low key. Surrounded by many lakes, West Bloomfield has lakes that are large enough for various water sports. West Bloomfield is also known as the Lake township of Oakland County and is known to have a diverse population and a wealth of ethnic groups.
Cass Lake, the largest in the area, is in part of West Bloomfield, and Pine Lake which has a private country club on its shore. In addition, directly west of Pine Lake is Orchard Lake, which also has a private country club on its shore.
West Bloomfield Michigan has hundreds of acres of parks and recreation areas. The community has many activities and classes throughout the year. Orchard Lake Rd that is in the center of the township- you can usually find what you want within a 5 to 10-minute ride of your home.
It is home to many excellent restaurants like Stage Deli, Red Coat Tavern, Plum Market, Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum & West Bloomfield Woods Natural Preserve.
The primary school district serving the township is the West Bloomfield School District, which was recognized as one of the top public-school districts in the country. A total of seven school districts serves various portions of West Bloomfield (West Bloomfield, Farmington, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Walled Lake, Pontiac and Waterford). West Bloomfield HS and Jewish Academy of Metropolitan Detroit are the two high schools located within the township.
West Bloomfield is home to remarkable country clubs including Shenendoah, Tam-o-Shanter & Knollwood.
